Thought this subject line went well with good ol' Walla Walla and the Herons I saw near Whitman Mission. Yesterday about 2:30pm I saw 5 Blue Herons standing on top of nests in as many trees. They looked majestic almost like militant figures in uniform at attention. A quality camera with a great zoom could have caught all of them. (Herons in trees/Turkeys in trees) have always seemed like the two shouldn't go together, which makes these sightings even more fun.
