Greetings All

Today John Puschock, Ryan Merrill and I birded around Snohomish and then out
to Conway.

A first year Glaucous Gull were with some Snow Geese (appropriate, eh?) on
HWY 9 just north of Marsh Road..... remember few pull offs, many cars travelling
at high velocities, angry police.... be careful out there.

On (Old?) Snohomish-Monroe Road, just e. of the turnoff to Short School Road,
on the north side of the road... are several ponds. This is a few miles east
of Snohomish. In the ponds were 3 Greater White-fronted Geese, a Common x
Green-winged Teal, and a NORTHERN PINTAIL x AM WIGEON.... Ryan got some decent
photos of the Pintail x Wigeon, which he will hopefully be able to put on his
website.

The BEWICK'S SWAN was still just s. of Conway on the road that connects
Conway to Stanwood. Huge flock of swans with several wannabe Bewick's plus the
clear-cut bird.

Cheers
Steven Mlodinow
