A big thank you and a tip of the binos to Matt Bartels for the great
directions to find the Ross's goose south of Poulsbo. Not only was it still
ensconced with its domestic goose pals (4 pm, 9 March), but there were also
two Eurasian widgeon drakes among the flock of American widgeon; the little
pond also had Northern shovelers and American pintails.

The Ross's goose was a new life species for Hilary.
