Just wanted you all to be aware that there is an active new Eagle nest just a couple of blocks east of the Center of Urban Horticulture ( Montlake Fill),? it is on the Talaris Conference Center property,?south?west corner ( 4000 NE 41st St.)? In the cotton wood trees that line NE 41st.?Years ago there was a Great Blue Heron rookery in the trees with 4 or so active nests, and the Eagles found them out, and the herons have not been back since.? This is the second eagle nest in the area in the past 15 years, the first one did not pan out.
