Coming home from my daily walk in Seward Park there was a large flock of swallows dipping and diving over Andrew's Bay. Sorry, the light was awful and it was pouring so I have no ID. I don't mind. Swallows are back. It's spring.

Tuesday watched the Ampitheater pair of Bald Eagles copulating at the top of a fir tree near the nest. Deeper in the woods, the Barred Owls are doing their call and response thing.

In the yard, a pair of Bewick's Wrens are showing quite an interest in the prime lilac tree nesting cavity. We'll see if they they beat out the usual pair of Black-capped Chickadees.
