I've been meaning to post this all week. Acting on information from Joyce
Meyers, Wendy and I stopped by Easton last Saturday and encountered the same
large flock of Red Crossbills that she and Mike West saw earlier. They were
numerous and fun to watch as they flew down to the roadway looking for
salt(?) or grit, flying up to treetops when cars whizzed by. We saw one
with prominent white wingbars, but couldn't nail it for sure. Anyway, if
you're heading over I-90 this weekend, check it out; it's a spectacle!
