Tweets;
For those of you who are county listers (which we are not) David and I just got home from a lazy weekend of pumping up the Pt. Townsend economy and birding the area, along w. Marrowstone (excuse--recovering from bad cold.) We thought we were through after leaving Pt. Townsend in some rain sprinkles around noon, when we pulled off the road to view a dozen Trumpeter Swans in a 40 acre field with a "for sale" sign at the driveway. With the swans was a juvenile Sandhill Crane. This was on Highway 20, south of Chimikum, but well north of the Pt. Ludlow turnoff. I checked the WOS website for county records, which indicates that there are 5 or fewer records of the SH crane for Jefferson Co. The crane was at the edge of the swan flock.
