I stopped by Soap Lake yesterday and got some pictures of the birds on East Beach. I won't tell the species here as I've set up the first picture as an exercise in identification of flying peeps. You can see the pics here: http://canondigitalslrs.com

Many Barrow's and Common Goldeneye's, Ring-Necked Ducks, Ruddy Duck were on Soap Lake and the next 2 lakes north. Nothing hurt the American Coot population this winter either. hehe

Unfortunately, I did not go on north to Grand Coulee to see the gulls that Gina Sheridan did.
