Today my wife Sally and I saw the two emperor geese SW of Raymond between mileposts 50 and 51. Yesterday we also saw one, and perhaps two slaty-backed gulls on Wentzel Slough Rd. and nearby, a fairly large flock of Taverner's cackling geese including two or more birds with white necklaces. (They were too light-breasted for Aleutians, probably within normal variation for Taverner's)
There was also a similar sized flock of Canadas nearby.
