Hello -

I'm a bit late - was anxious to find out if possible a varied thrush could be thinking (do they nest here?) of nesting close by. I'd been seeing daily a female and just this weekend saw her taking a bath and sadly, later that day, I saw just feathers. I think the SS/Cooper's got her.

I do have a crow pair building a nest in the yard kiddy-corner to our yard in a poplar. Should I be happy or concerned? I've been fortunate to have bushtits, robins, bewick's (they're in our dovecote again this year...), not sure what the dynamic will be with a crow nest so close by.

I am also still seeing Townsend's at the suet.

Wild America in Wedgwood! ;-)
