Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 20. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

A male TUFTED DUCK is now being seen at Fern Ridge Reservoir.

ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS are now arriving with many singing birds. Early
shorebirds are also on the move including GREATER YELLOWLEGS and LONG-BILLED
CURLEWS. On march 16 a LESSER YELLOWLEGS was at Coos Bay.

The CLAY-COLORED SPARROW is still being seen at the Hatfield Science Center
on Yaquina Bay. On march 16 a LONG-TAILED DUCK and three ROCK SANDPIPERS
were at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay. A LONG-TAILED DUCK flew past Tierra
del Mar the same day. Three GLAUCOUS GULLS are still being seen along
Wireless Road near Astoria.

A BLACK PHOEBE was on Sauvie Island March 16. A SAY?S PHOEBE was at
Beaverton March 19. On March 14 a CHIPPING SPARROW was at Lake Oswego. A
CLIFF SWALLOW was at Ankeny NWR March 15, and another was at Fern Ridge
Reservoir the next day. On March 15 a HERMIT WARBLER was in Roseburg.

Large numbers of SNOW and ROSS?S GEESE are now in the Burns area, including
one Blue SNOW and two Blue ROSS?S.
