Hello Tweeters,

If there are any hawk behaviorists out there, I would appreciate your
views on the following:

While birding Nisqually NWR last Saturday, one of the more memorable
events was a pair of Red-Tailed Hawks with talons seemingly entwined
hurling to Earth at a pretty good clip and pulling out of their
"death-spiral" at the last minute, then flying off together.

Is this some sort of intense courtship behavior? Thank you for any
insights!
