I am looking to take about a ten day trip to E. OR starting either 4/25 or
5/2. I am planning on going to the La Grande area, Malheur, Kalamath, and
Bend. I am looking for opinions on which week would be best or are they
close enough together that it doesn't really matter? I am interested in
looking for Great Gray Owls, Spotted Owls, Mt. Quail, Grouse (any species),
Pinyon Jays, wading birds, shorebirds, courtship dances of either Western or
Clark's Grebes, White Pelican, and any other owls or woodpecker species. If
anyone has site ideas for these species or time recommendations, I would
truly appreciate it.
