Dear Tweeters,
My daughter and I met at the fill this morning around 10:15AM. Cold and
Rainy...bad weather birding for sure.

One duck confused us. We saw it on the main pond. all dark chocolate brown
except for a white chest that went up the long neck. Also a few pencil thin
sgraggily lines of white on the side of its head. It had the body and bill
shape of a mallard, was hanging out with a male mallard, walked up on the
grass with the male mallard. Yet its neck seemed longer and it had somewhat
of a goose like look to its neck. we were really confused.

Here are the other birds we saw today: (in order of when we saw them)
Robins
Starling
Anna's Humingbird
Coots
Tree Swallows
Violet-Green Swallows
Red Winged Black Birds
Canada Geese
Mallards
Buffleheads
Hooded Mergansers
Song Sparrow??
American Widgeons
Gadwalls
Shovelors
Pied Billed Grebes
Cormorants
Green Winged Teals
Common Mergansers (8))
Ruddy Duck
Shovelers
Killdeer (1)
Mystery Duck as described above
Eurasian Widgeon
Hawk- unidentified
American Crow
