Tweeters,

On March 15th, we photographed a group of Brants at Ediz Hook in Port Angeles. Opon photography, we found one individual, adult with a silver band, number 76, visable on the right leg. Is anyone banding or researching Brants?

Also, at "iced-in" Loon Lake, we have had blue birds return on March 20th. They are attempting to place nesting material in the various swallow boxes we have by the lake. Unfortunately, when the tree and VG swallows return, they will be ousted.

Tundra swans are beginning to congregate on the Colville River along the Springdale-Valley Road, HWY 231 to where it meets HWY 395. Many other water birds, such as; pintails, ring-necked ducks, lesser scaups, common golden eyes, mallards.

Lake Lenore, in the Coulee Coridor, has many water birds with a large group of canvasbacks on March 21st.
