The State of Texas has a whole series of "birding trail" maps. They are
good supplements to any of the standard guides that covers the state.
"Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail - East" has Austin and a bit of San Antonio.
"Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail - West" covers more of the area to the W of
S.A.
I can't remember where I ordered mine, but you might try the Texas Parks and
Wildlife website: www.tpwd.state.tx.us <http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/>

Hi Tweeters,
I am going on a trip to Austin and San Antonio for a week in early May. Can
anyone recommend a birding guide for that area?
