>From 1992 ( that was the first year I became aware of them) to 1999 we had a
pair of coopers hawks nesting on our property. To my delight a pair has
started building a nest in a past couple of days. They have been very active
around the neighborhood, and I have seen one or the other zooming around my
feeder and through the trees. There has been lots of vocalizing as well.
Both show a lot of white on their leggings and I am wondering if they are
first year birds?
