Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A major movement of OSPREYS during the week brought them to all areas.
CASPIAN TERNS are now all along the coast. There was a surge of SAY?S PHOEBE
reports during the week from the Willamette Valley. Swallow movements during
the week brought early ROUGH-WINGED and CLIFF SWALLOWS. On March 24 two
PURPLE MARTINS were at Lakeside north of Coos Bay.

The EMPEROR GOOSE that wintered at Dean?s Creek near Reedsport was seen
again during the week. On March 22 a GOSHAWK was in Warrenton. A male and a
female MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD were seen during the week at Steigerwald NWR near
Washougal. Three singing BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS were seen March 25 at
the Tualatin Nature Park in Beaverton.

On March 21 a GOSHAWK was at Hagg Lake south of Forest Grove. Another was
seen March 24 in Oregon City. On March 25 a RED-BREASTED GOOSE was east of
Amity at the junction of Amity Road and Lafayette Highway. A YELLOW-HEADED
BLACKBIRD and a MOCKINGBIRD were at Fern Ridge Reservoir March 25.

The WHITE-THROATED SWIFTS are now back at Smith Rocks State park near
Terrebonne.

That?s it for this week.
