Which is to say by our import policies we are exporting our
environmental problems rather than solving them. Millions are being
spent to locally develop more sustainable (I hate that word because I
don't believe it means what some people believe it does) practices
that will have no effect if we decide to buy imported produce because
it's cheaper.
