I saw a single, male Mountain Bluebird yesterday on my way in to Roy from the Graham area. (It was on 8th Avenue South between 304th South and 295th South, across from a cattle pasture area, for those who know the area.)

I run a bluebird trail in Roy, so I'm used to seeing Western Bluebirds in the area, but I have never seen a Mountain Bluebird there. However, it was unmistakeable, perched on a fence right at the edge of the road.

I'm guessing the unseasonable snow is keeping him at the lower elevations.

The Rufus Hummingbirds have also arrived, so it really is Spring!
