Greetings All

I know that the Boundary Bay area sometimes gets staggering numbers of
Eurasian Wigeon on CBCs, so obviously earlier this is mid or early winter.

However, in Padilla Bay, it is clear that numbers build in Feb, and that peak
numbers are present in Feb/Mar. I can't say why. Maybe some are imms that
went from that less scrutible plumage to the more obvious ad male. But still,
there seems to be some real change. I suspect it is a staging ground.
Interestingly, much smaller numbers appear in Feb/Mar in Klamath, the only eastside
location in Oregon/Washington to regularly (well, sometimes) get double digit
counts.
