Tweets,
A quick trip to Lake Sammamish late this morning turned up an adult Chipping Sparrow near the bridge over the creek at the swimming beaches. All of the field marks were easily seen and it appears to be in breeding/summer plumage. It was foraging on the ground along the driving paths in the grass and was observed at close range and in my scope for about 25 minutes. Other than the usual suspects a nice Green Heron flew over from the pond by the playground as I was leaving. I did not see the Western Kingbird I saw the other day, nor the Pipits and Peeps. I love this time of year... It seems like each trip has a new surprise!
