Just a quick report, sadly no time to be entertaining about it. I was at the
Fill 4.30 -7 this evening. I found the SOLITARY SANDPIPER in the reeds at
the north end of the main pond (viewed from the southern tip of Shoveler
pond) at 5.40. Shortly after, it flew to the south-east pond where it seems
to most often be found, giving me nice views of that defining dark central
tail stripe. Other shorebirds were killdeer and least sandpiper.

Wilson's warbler and Common Yellowthroat skulked by the E-5 parking lot. A
few Vaux's swift flitted over the main Fill. I had either a Lincoln's or a
swamp sparrow at the north end of the little slough between the cottonwood
grove and the Fill proper - never could get a look at enough of the bird to
be sure, very frustrating. As I left, two pairs of Brewer's blackbirds were
hanging around the puddles by the E-5 lot - not the most common birds at the
Fill.
