Biker-Birders,

The North Cascades Audubon's inaugural Birds on Bikes field trip has been rescheduled for May 18.
The trip limit is 12 and we have only 5 signed up at this time. We'll?corral our 'trusty steeds' (bikes) at the Rotary Trailhead off Old Fairhaven Parkway by 8:30-8:45 AM for a short hello-how-are-you?and depart at?9 AM, with stops along the way to see birds.
The trip follows Padden Creek to?Marine Park and then along the shore of B'ham Bay to Little Squalicum Beach Park. After a lunch break at Little Squalicum, we'll return to the starting point, stopping again for bird looks.

If you're interested and have a 'trusty steed' to mount (along with healthy legs and heart), e-mail me at mechejmch at aol.com or?phone me during the day at 739-5383.?You can also opt for half the journey if you leave a pickup vehicle at Little Squalicum. Basically, the full package is southside to northside and back. ?

We just returned from a trial run along the entire route and pronounced it 'ready to go.' A minor hill or two is all we encountered, along with at least 3 bezillion sun-deprived 'hamsters

Thanks,
Joe Meche
