hi - just a few interesting birds i've seen from
sat-mon.may3-5--TULALIP-sat. i found a lg.maple tree filled w/ WESTERN
TANAGERS + YELLOW RUMPED WARBLERS-it was raining so much my binocs were
wet , so hard to count#s-then a GREY WHALE feeding just off the beach-sun
am:1 BULLOCK'S ORIOLE + ORANGE CROWNED WARBLER + WILSONS WARBLER across
the street-on mission av.-other birds : 2 prs. of nesting OSPREYS,
CANADA GEESE-sev. pairs, 2 w/ 6 new hatchlings being herde around the
bay-, at least 10 PURPLE MARTINS- 5 on our dock, BAND TAILED + MOURNIG
DOVES,RED BREASTED MERGANSERS,SURF SCOTERS,GREATER SCOPS,BUFFLEHEADS,
MALLARDS,G/W/TEALS,PINTAILS,WIGEONS,HORNED GREBSE, WESTERN GREBES ,COMMON
+ RED-THROATED LOONS,BALD EAGLES, GREAT BLUE HERONS ,BELTED
KINGFISHERS--today-2 male BULLOCKS ORIOLES- UP at boe rd, sun.
we saw 2 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS in mud puddles n. of boe rd,by the last
silver barn going west; also 30-40- GREATER WHITE FRONTED GEES w/ the
thousands of SNOW GEESE--UP at WILEY we saw STEVE MLODINOW + later found
2 BAND TAILED PIGEONS , 1 GR.YELLOWLEGS, 1 AMERICAN BITTERN, 2 MALE WOOD
DUCKS, PURPLE FINCHES, GOLD + WHITE CROWNED SPARROWS,5 MALE RUFOUS
HUMMINGBIRDS,many!!!-YELLOW RUMPED WARBLERS -MYRTLES + AUDUBONS + YELLOW
WARBLERS ,1 PR ,DOWNY WOOD PECKERS, VAUX'S SWIFT + countless SWALLOWS--
I have a question for computer types- i took pics of the solitary sands ;
but don'tnow how to include them-nay smart person!!!-email me direct;
