Hi Folks,

I don't mean to sound overly exuberant, or worse, delusional, but I
could use some help with what appeared to be a brood of Bufflehead on a
public fishing pond south of Cook Lake on Cameron Lake Road in
Okanogan. This is weeks early for a brood, but Alan and I saw them a
week ago, a female with 3 smaller, softer-looking,
less-well-marked-like-females Buffleheads, and a male a bit apart. The
pond is distinguished by the "Public Fishing" sign and an outhouse,
visible from the main Cameron Lake Road toward the north end, just south
of Cook Lake. It's a very short drive to the parking area by the
outhouse, from which we saw the ducks. I failed to get a picture, not
realizing the significance until I looked at "Birds of Washington".

If you're able to get there, or better yet, get a picture, I'm grateful
to you.
