Hi all,

I guess it is time to keep on the look-out for Brown Pelicans in Puget
Sound. This morning I had one fly south past the point. The weather was
miserable so I gave up on trying to find any passerines. Good thing, it
sounds like Bob had most of them out at Neah Bay. A few Western
Kingbirds have been nice in the Hansville Winery area but for the most
part passerine migration in the Point no Point area has been on the slow
side. I think we were spoiled last year.

In the afternoon I took my boat out (it has been a while). I mainly
wanted to check to see if I could find some phalaropes. I finally found
five up near Point no Point. Not what I would call an invasion, but
wonderful nonetheless. There was not a great deal of activity but I did
enjoy an Elephant Seal with his huge head bobbing out of the water.

Cheers and good birding,
