Yesterday (Sunday, 5/11) at 6:00 pm there were 130 Red-necked
Phalaropes in the fresh-water ponds on Rt. 101 about 2 miles south of
South Bend. Other shorebirds in the ponds were ~200 Short-billed
Dowitchers, a few Dunlin and W. Sandpipers and one Greater Yellowlegs.

At 8:00 pm at Graveyard Spit in Tokeland were 7 Red-necked Phalaropes
and and a handful of Dunlin and Semi-palmated Plovers. At the
breakwater were ~200 Whimbrel, ~250 Marbled Godwits, ~150 Short-billed
Dowitchers, 10 Ruddy Turnstones, ~50 Dunlin and 1 Willet.
