Tweeters:

I recieved this from a woman with whom I had contact last summer when she and her family were coming to WA. She thought that perhaps the Tweeters community might be interested, and I thought she might be right.

Subject: Big-Sit invite in honor of Marion Paton, May 17th

Howdy Birding Community,

As you may know Marion Paton is not feeling well and
is in Tucson at the moment under the watchful eye of
her family and friends at "The Forum at Tucson".

When I visited her the family told me that cards from
birders really perk her up and she enjoys having them
read to her. Hence the idea for "Paton's Perchers" a
big-sit team in Marion's honor.

So to ensure that she has lots of good reading
material, and as a way for all of us that have enjoyed
her yard over the years to thank her, Tucson Audubon
will hold a Big-sit Birdathon in her honor in her
backyard on May 17th from 8am to 2 pm.

We would really love to have all birders that are in
the area that day stop by and visit. We will have
get-well cards available for you to sign to let her
know how much you have enjoyed visiting with her and
her birds over the years and we'll take lots of
pictures too.

We will then put together a nice big package of the
cards and take them to her and fill her in on the
day's event.

If you are unable to stop by that day we still
encourage you to send your good wishes to her by
sending a card/flowers to her at: The Forum At Tucson,
2500 North Rosemont Blvd., Tucson, Az 85712, Room 619.

Thanks and I hope we'll see you there for some good
birding for a very nice lady!
