A few weeks ago four band-tailed pigeons stopped by my place for a snack. More and more showed up over the next few weeks. They liked my feeding station so well they told all their friends. Now, as of this morning's count, there are 65 band-tailed pigeons feeding. They quickly wipe out the half-gallon of cracked corn I throw out for them and then they descend on the deck to clean up what I've put out for the other birds. It is funny to see two trying to balance on a feeder half their size but they manage to hang on some how. In the morning it's a game for them to sneak down onto the deck and then for me to swoosh the curtain to scare them off. This goes on until I get up and step out onto the deck and wave my arms at them. Anyone want some band-tailed pigeons?????
