Hi Tweeters,

The great former construction mudhole at 212th and the
new Riverview BV road is sadly being planted and
developed probably into just an open planted area but
they have some parts of it with bird detracting strips
of mylar ribbon. I didn't expect to find anything
there but was pleasantly surprised to see 3
Long-billed Dowitchers and 1 Short-billed last night
along with at least 2 pairs of Spotted Sandpipers
doing courtship displays. Several Killdeer sounding
off in the area too. The lighting there is just
wonderful in the evening with the sun shining on the
birds. The pond on the west side of the road had a
female Bufflehead in it.

Take Orillia exit off I-5, go east and once you are
dropping down the hill (turns into 212th), the mudhole
is at the third light, can only turn right.
