If you really want to find the difficult SE AZ birds,
such as Black-capped Gnatcatcher, 5-striped Sparrow,
Spotted Owl & Montezuma Quail, a guide is still your
best bet. Melody is superb, and so are Rick & Stuart.
Stuart schedules back-to-back trips, so changing
itineraries is a BIG problem for him if that means
driving from one end of the state to the other. Give
him a break. He drove 2 hours to meet us at 4 a.m in
Nogales to find the 5-striped Sparrow. His web site
is a huge aid for SE AZ trip planning.

Other solutions are as follows:

1. Tucson Audubon field Trips
2. Buy Finding Birds in SE AZ from Tucson Audubon
3. E-mail Birdwg05
4. Try Birdingpal
5. E-mail me and, with luck, you'll find me in a
non-curmudgeonly humor.
