Perhaps I thought too soon about migration lightening up, because yesterday around 5 pm a flock of at least eight or ten Western Tanagers moved through our yard. At one point I could see three brilliant males at a time.

Also had a Band-Tailed Pigeon in the neighborhood at the top of a huge madrona. I think my neighborhood doesn't have quite enough tree cover for these to hang out a lot, unlike the neighborhoods just a few blocks east and north.
