Hello All,

Well early this morning before the sun cranked up to 90 degrees we went
birding in southwest Walla Walla Co.. Birds of note are as follows:

Great Egret...........7 birds hunting the millet field of the Wallula HMU

Franklins Gulls.....11 birds along Detour Rd.in flooded field.
13 birds at the Walla Walla River delta
3 birds over the Iowa Beef Ponds

Long-billed Curlew..1 bird on the Walla Walla River delta.

Black-necked Stilts...9 pair nesting on the floating scum of the Dodd
Rd.stench ponds.

American Avocet....5 pair nesting on the Dodd Rd scum of the stench ponds.

Black-bellied Plover..1 ad. in bright breeding plumage (alternate plumage)
at the Dodd Rd. stench ponds.

Wilsons Phalarope...9 birds at the Dodd Rd. stench ponds
3 birds at Iowa Beef Ponds

White-faced Ibis........4 birds at Two Rivers HMU

Barn Owl....................2 birds on Dodd Rd.

Common Nighthawk..1 bird over our home in College Place-first of the
year.(heard on 16 May) This is early!
