HELLO TWEETERS,

I wasn't expecting much today at the Fill and it started out pretty slow, there didn't seem to be much moving. After a couple of hours I decided to head home. While passing Shovelers Pond I saw an unfamiliar looking pair of Ducks. They were Blue-winged Teals, a life bird for me. I had already seen Cinnamon Teals and Green-winged Teals so this is my first three Teal day! While walking toward the CUH buildings out of the corner of my eye, I saw an pigeon like silhouette take off. It flew into the fenced area behind the green houses. It was a Mourning Dove, ANOTHER LIFE BIRD. Two life birds in one day for this old junior birder made my week, and it's just started. I wonder what the rest of the week is going to bring. Attached, in the recent photo set, are the photo's from today's outing. I haven't been 100% correct on my identifications yet so criticisms and corrections are welcome.
