Subject: [Tweeters] Hummingbirds at Snoqualmie Pass

This year the Hummingbird activity has been amazing! Given that there is
still 2-3 feet of snow in my front yard, usually by this time activity
starts to subside. However, the snow has limited the normal food sources.
The last two days I have averaged 260 ounces of nectar usage from the
hummingbirds --- mostly Rufous Males and some Females. A couple of calliope
and an Anna's have been spotted in the "neighbordhood"

For those planning field trips to Kittitas County, you may wish to stop by
and check out my feeders. Coming from Seattle go on I-90 and take Exit 54.
Take a right. Go straight past Hwy 906. Come to 3-way stop that most
people miss and go straight. Stay on road as it curves down the hill to the
left and flattens out to the right. You will see a fire hydrant "teepee" on
the right. There you will see a house with a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
Take note of feeders on the left side of the house.

A video can be seen on my blog of activity earlier this week.
