Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday May 22. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On May 16 a probable YELLOW WAGTAIL was among a migrant fallout on Cascade
Head. An AMERICAN REDSTART and two BLACK SWIFTS were also seen. On May 15 a
GLOSSY IBIS was videotaped at Malheur NWR. An INDIGO BUNTING was at a Eugene
feeder May 19. On May 17 a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in Seaside. Another
was at Prospect in the Rogue Valley May 20. A COMMON GRACKLE and a
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER were in Fields during the week.

There were numerous reports during the week of flocks of WHITE-FACED IBIS
flying northward along the coast. On May 16, 24 were at Fern Ridge Reservoir
and 27 were near Harrisburg.

On May 19 a FRANKLIN?S GULL was off Heceta Lighthouse north of Florence. A
KNOT was seen May 18 near Waldport. On May 15 two WHITE PELICANS were at
Yaquina Bay. A YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was in Newport May 14. A RED-EYED
VIREO was seen May 16 near Toledo. Three BLACK SWIFTS were there May 19. On
May 15 a FRANKLIN?S GULL was at the Necanicum River mouth at Gearhart. A
SWAINSON?S HAWK was reported May 18 over Oysterville, WA.

On May 18 seven WHITE PELICANS were over Creswell, south of Eugene. A
MOCKINGBIRD was in Klamath Falls May 16. The next day a late ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWK was at Upper Klamath Lake.
