Ted Peterson and Dennis Duffy found a lone female Wilson's Phalarope
at the Edmonds Marsh this morning. Ann Marie Wood, Linda Phillips,
and I were able to relocate it based on a good description of where
it is. Ted says he has not seen one in the Marsh for about ten
years. If anyone is looking for this species for an Edmonds or
Snohomish County list, I will provide directions. Park in the Harbor
Square parking lot near the main observation platform. Walk east
along the faded red paved path and stop by the rose bushes along side
the most easterly of the two tennis courts. There is a gap in the
trees that will allow you to look into a muddy area with very shallow
water about one-half to two-thirds of the way across the Marsh. It
has been walking around feeding in that area.

Good birding,
