I find this bouncing thing a little aggravating! I do not have AOL but I do get bounced by OBOL if I try to post. I receive but can not share! This all began out of the blue and had been a participating member to OBOL for a while. I have even re-subscribed and still today my message bounced? Guess OBOL is not for me.

Atleast I can still post to TWEETERS!

Thanks for letting me vent!

Subject: [Tweeters] AOL SPAM issue (If you don't use AOL this does not applyto you)

Dear AOL Users,

All of us who use AOL are experiences this problem with Tweeters, and possible some of our other list servers. AOL has a system where depending on how many people hit their SPAM button to an incoming email that they then sort out email from that server as SPAM. So when people do not know how to get off a list that they no longer want by hitting SPAM on AOL they are doing a disservice to other AOL members on that list. Hopefully, if you restore Tweeters from your SPAM folder before reading it, hopefully AOL is recording this too. I doubt it, though.

Recently, the listowner of OBOL indicated that he had to go through all kind hell to get OBOL off AOL's SPAM list and he was not going to do it again, because of the hassle. So if you want to stop receiving a list do everybody a favor and figure out how to signoff officially, rather than marking it as SPAM so that AOL will delete it from your incoming mail, because AOL apparently deletes it from everybodies incoming mail, too.

Solution, I have none other than trying to contact AOL somehow and complain about the fact that Tweeters is not SPAM and hope they do something on their end. I have three or four lists that I now receive their email on Mozilla's Thunderbird since I cannot receive it at all or very irregularly on AOL.

The above comments are based on my experience with AOL and readings, so I do not know that everything above is fact, but it appears to be, so keep restoring your Tweeters out of the SPAM folder before reading it and hopefully AOL will stop putting it there. I do not know of a way to put it on an approved list in AOL, if AOL even has one, as some of the other email list programs have to allow email to come through a spam filter.

Great birding and find that next lifer,
