Tweeters,

Tina and I wisely decided to avoid the holiday weekend traffic jams by
staying close to home today. We were handsomely rewarded with two BLACK
TERNS over some shallow ponds on Old Snohomish Monroe Road. The ponds are
2.2 miles from the Snohomish city limits and to the east of the road. If
you want to see them, go quickly. The farmer was plowing the high grass
right up to the water. Also on the ponds were five WILSON'S PHALAROPE.

In King County, at the Stillwater WLA north of Carnation, we found 4 male
and 2 female LAZULI BUNTINGS. The birds were along the old service road
that leads out towards the river.

Good birding,

Rick
