Hello,
If you haven't heard, a Humpback Whale has been staying around Pt Defiance since last week. He/she stays right off the point between Defiance and Dalco. Yesterday while watching him feed a younger Bald Eagle was flying over head and swooping down for what ever fish were being scare up. A couple of the other young eagles were flying as well as an adult. While at the Dalco lookout on the 5 mile drive watching the water, a Pileated Woodpecker was tapping on a tree along side the parking area. Several other smaller birds around too.
