The Baikal Teal was swimming around and actively foraging this evening until 4 of us left around 8 pm. It has not been seen anywhere but the pond immediately south of the main dike and farthest west of Crab Creek in Marsh Unit 1 of Columbia NWR. It is usually in the open but picks different company among Mallard, Redhead, Gadwall, Cinnamon and Blue-winged Teal.
The Crab Creek Trailhead parking lot is probably the easiest entry. Might as well walk the trail first and catch up on chat chatter. There's a bunch! Also had an Olive-sided Flycatcher there this morning.
