Russ Koppendrayer called me about finding Wilson's Phalaropes at the Mint Farm in Longview in Cowlitz Co. and so today I tried for them. I first walked over the big flat field to get to the ponds and could not find any phalaropes. 30 mins. later I am rechecking the two largest ponds and noticed a Red-necked Phalarope that appeared from who knows where. 10 mins. of watching the Red-necked when a Wilson's flew into the same pond. Both of these phalaropes are tough in Cowlitz Co.

Other birds seen there are all three teal species(1 pair Green-winged, 5 Cinnamon, 3 Blue-winged), Bank Swallows, 1 Great Egret, a crow carrying a small snake in it's bill, Willow Flycatchers, lots of Killdeer and Spotted Sandpipers.
