Subject: [Tweeters] House Wren at Sandpoint Country Club?

While out on my walk this morning (9:15am) I heard and saw a wren that sure
looked like a House Wren. It was a small wren, with a long tail cocked
straight up. Color on the back was a mostly uniform rufusy- brown, no eye
line. The color made me think of a Winter Wren but the tail was too long.
It was calling the short nasal busst (sorry I can't spell sounds better than
that) which I associate with wrens. It struck me as not the same call as
the common Bewick's Wrens that we have here, hence I stopped to look more
closely. It was perched on top of a small Lavender plant and I got to
about 15' when it flew down into the short shrubs (lavender, rosemary other
bushes), staying low or even on the ground.

I have not heard of House Wren's in Seattle recently, let alone on Nov 1.
Thus I write to see if anyone else can confirm seeing this bird.

It was in the garden, road side, at the NW corner of NE Crown Pl and
Lakemont Dr. NE, this is in the Sand Point Country Club area in NE Seattle
(View Ridge) just up the hill from Magnuson Park.
