Subject: [Tweeters] Tropical Kingbird in Delta BC...Yes

That kingbird was a regular show-off this morning! Several birders with digiscopes enjoyed (?) dancing back and forth between a couple groups of trees around the nursery parking lot on 64th St (off Ladner Trunk Rd). Great views of a great bird. Thanks for the head's up, Wayne.

The nearby gyrfalcon was not spotted today, but the local birders playing chase with the kingbird report that the gyr has recently been determined to be an escapee...both legs banded as if it once belonged to falconer. Having a fairly crappy scope (which would have been happily crappy in this case), I could have gone without hearing that news, but since I couldn't find the bird in the end, I figure I might as well spoil it for a few more folks.
