Friends: Please bear with me: we have 2 suet feeders: one, a small
home-drilled and home-made suet-filled log attached by a rope around a fir tree;
and another, a store-bought suet cake stuffed into a rectangular basket hanging
from under a porch eave.
For several mornings now, Betty has found 1) the suet in the wire
gone; 2) the wired basket on the ground; and 3) the disappearance of both
the suet and the wire basket!!
We suspect raccoon or something similar: However, tonight-- aha!
-- we're going to leave on an outside floodlight to see if we can catch the
varmint (sp.?) in the act!! Just thought I'd give Tweeters a chance to share
