On the Quimper Peninsula outside of Port Townsend where I live the Barred
Owl numbers have increased dramatically this year, to where I am seeing one
of two that live within one mile of me about every three days. Driving the
roads to and from Port Townsend, its seven miles to town, I have been seeing
barred owls once a week or so. The owls are quite active in the daylight
hours. I got some nice images of one yesterday hunting mice.

I haven't seen the Yellow-billed Loon since 10-28 and 10-30. I have yet to
see any Red-throated Loons this fall.
