Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On November 4 a SEDGE WREN was seen in the EE Wilson SWA north of Corvallis
near where it was seen last winter. A SMITH?S LONGSPUR was seen October 30
on the North Spit of Coos Bay; it did not remain. A possible BEWICK?S SWAN
was seen November 1 at the Ridgefield NWR.

Very heavy migrations continue along the coast. On November 3 a few RED
PHALAROPES were in the Chetco River mouth, others were seen off Boiler Bay.

On November 3 a SAY?S PHOEBE and a BULLOCK?S ORIOLE were near Brookings. On
October 31 two SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPERS were near Flores Lake north of Cape
Blanco. Up to 27 LAPLAND LONGSPURS, a SAY?S PHOEBE, and a TROPICAL KINGBIRD
continue on the North Spit of Coos Bay. On November 4 two TROPICAL KINGBIRDS
were at Svenson Island east of Astoria. The male BARROW?S GOLDENEYE that has
wintered near the Astoria Dairy Queen for the past eight years has returned.
On November 2 two SNOW BUNTINGS were with the LAPLAND LONGSPUR flock at the
South Jetty of the Columbia River.

On November 2 a HARLAN?S HAWK was at Ridgefield NWR. The wintering flock of
SNOW GEESE has now arrived to the Sauvie Island/Ridgefield area. On November
5 two LAPLAND LONGSPURS with many HORNED LARKS were in North Portland near
Kelly Point Park. A late flock of seven TREE SWALLOWS were at Smith/Bybee
Lakes November 1. A probable BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD was in the Cedar Mill
