Hello Tweeters,
I got real rewarded today rake all the many leaves what are fallen from the
many trees I got here in my yard. From now to end of November I am going to
be busy with all the leaves. As I was close to one of my birdbath's,I heard
what I was hearing a light call of the Townsend's Warbler.I looked up and
there was 2 bright males Townsend's so close to me.One of the birds went in
to the birdbath what have a dripping system, the other flew higher in to the
tree. But one bird was bathing for as long than 8 minutes,I wish I had my
camera handy, but I enjoyed this watching this bird so close, not moving. The
other bird flew in the fir tree with yet another Townsend's this bird was a
female. As I getting in the house I looked at my patio where I got also
feeders hanging,I saw two small birds chasing, one of my male Anna's chasing
a female Golden-crowned Kinglet away from the feeder. This bird also stayed
for few minutes to made the ID good.On top I got all my many adults Oregon
Junco's back for the winter including 2 Song Sparrows.Seems realy not to be
mention, but in my place there not to often seen,so I make a big think out of
this sighting.as a real good bird here.We been having Townsend's Warblers
here every winter.Long time I wrote a story up about the Little Noble Fir
Tree and the Townsend's Warblers who was eating the unsalted Nuts what I put
in the bottom.Patrick and I put on some lights and decorated this little
tree around Christmas.CAROL SCHULZ and others told me how much there enjoyed
this "Little Noble Fir Tree"Story. If any of you saved this would you please
sent it to me.
Two days I had another bird flying in my patio Window what I forgot to
close.I coming upstairs where I see a little Bewick's Wren sitting on the
grounds.Seeing me he flew up this like the Pin Siskin. When he flew in to
the dining room on the high window where I have a huge Christmas Cactus ,he
landed on that, from there he flew up to the one part of the window what was
close,it is a sliding door and I also had the left side open. But this bird
went on and on, up and down.So I tried one of my place mats ,folded it and
walked Thurs the bird, and he flew on this mat,I moved the bird who was
sitting still to the other open sliding door, and he slowly flew out and
went to the suet feeder ,and was feeding a long time. This species I have a
lot of birds in my yard and breed here, there are also so tame, also the many
Red-breasted Nuthatches.
