Subject: [Tweeters] Sapsuckers eating Mt Ash berries, sap

I photographed 3 different Red-naped sapsuckers feeding on one or
more: sap, insects, wasps, and berries in our Mt Ash this fall (until
early October), and 2 years ago, a fresh juvenile RNSA was in the
same tree in early Sept. Also this year, a flicker and house finches
ate berries that had fallen, among other things consumed -- Jim
